Indoor Colours 2010-2011 Notes

The colours scheme is designed to encourage all archers to shoot and score rounds and to receive a coloured cord to show progress. The scores also go forward to the Records Officer and count towards handicaps. If you are new to archery you are encouraged to join in, as it will assist your development and make your shooting worthwhile

All archers to return last years indoor cords as the two schemes are quite different.

All archers required to start by shooting a Portsmouth. (Two rounds)

If the first two Portsmouth rounds achieve, or exceed, a blue cord the archer may proceed to the Bray series

Two rounds are needed to achieve the cord

10 zone scoring i.e. 10,9,8,7,6,5,4,3,2,1,M

Circle on the scoresheet which bow type and round you have shot.
Barebows must write Barebow and must submit their scores as Barebow but the Longbow scores will be used for the cords

All scores should be submitted and the Records Officer will determine the Colour and cord achieved.
Note also that a 'Blue' score also counts towards a BLACK or WHITE cord.
So, a 'Blue' score and a 'Black' score gets a BLACK cord and that same 'Blue' score still counts towards a future BLUE cord.
HOWEVER, a Red, Gold or Purple score does NOT count towards a BLUE,BLACK or WHITE cord!
But a Gold score counts towards a RED cord etc

For Recurve/Compound (3 arrows per end) the PORTSMOUTH round will normally be shot over two weeks. Use the shaded area for the 2nd week. Either weeks date can be used

Triple faces can be used if desired (to save damaged arrows)

Archers of ALL abilities are encouraged to score these rounds

Note: these rounds qualify for handicaps, so you are shooting for a cord and a handicap at the same time. Therefore all scores, however good or bad should be submitted to the records officer.
